What Is Included
Important Notice
Avoid Full Moon Nights: This is the #1 insider rule. Squid are drawn to the boat’s high-powered deck lights. On bright moonlit nights, the natural light scatters the squid across the ocean, dropping your catch rate significantly.
Take Motion Sickness Meds: Anchored boats rock constantly on the ocean waves at night. Take seasickness pills about 30 minutes before boarding.
Set Real Expectations: Squid fishing requires patience and a bit of luck. Some nights you might land 3–4 squid, while on others you might catch none. Treat the fishing as a fun bonus to the sunset cruise and dinner atmosphere.
Best Season: November through April offers the calmest seas and clearest sunset skies around Phu Quoc.
